The Senses Foundation is a charitable, not for profit organisation providing disability support services to people of all ages throughout Western Australia. Senses Foundation’s unique service speciality is the provision of services to people who are deafblind.

Senses Foundation is built on its values of respect, integrity, innovation and excellence, which distinguishes it and guides its actions.

Senses Foundation’s 2009 – 2014 Strategic Plan translates its vision into action and defines its purpose; clarifies its uniqueness and inspires its commitment. Its major strategic objectives are:

During the 2009/2010 financial year Senses Foundation provided over 110,000 hours of service to clients - an increase of over 26,000 hours on the previous year. Growth over the last four years has been considerable – 12% from 2006/07 to 2007/08, 21% from 2007/08 to 2008/09 and now 31% increase from 2008/09 to 2009/10.

Senses Foundation had our origins 110 years ago as the Royal WA Institute for the Blind, then amalgamated with the WA Deafblind Association in 2001 to become the Senses Foundation Inc.

Senses Foundation is a sustainable, person centred, community based, disability organisation with its primary focus on services to its clients.
