Staying Focused – Support for People With Age Related Dual Sensory Loss

Reducing isolation and increasing independence

Senses Foundation can provide information, education and training resources which can contribute to enhancing the quality of life of West Australians who the dual sensory loss of vision and hearing impairment.

The service is consultative and is staffed with a highly skilled staff with support available from Senses Foundation’s Deafblind Consultant

This Service provides training to families, to support staff and to therapy staff working with people who are experiencing age related dual sensory loss.  This training relates to supporting the individual who is living with age related deaf blindness, improving their independence and enjoyment of life.

Additionally, resources including DVDs and print resources have been developed as training tools.
